Join us as we meet with the City of Austin’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. We will tour the facility and learn about the different departments housed at the Combined Transportation, Emergency & Communications Center (CTECC) and what role each plays during an emergency.

SPEAKERS

 

Bill Wilson photoSpeaker 1: Bill Wilson

 

Bill Wilson works as a Senior Emergency Plans Officer for Austin HSEM.  Bill specializes in event operations and has been a part of organizing the emergency management operations for F1, SXSW, and other events in the City of Austin. Bill’s 20-year public safety career has included being a fire fighter, paramedic, and emergency management. In his time with HSEM, Bill has been a part of responses to five Major Disaster Declarations. Bill graduated with honors from Capella University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety with a specialization in Emergency Management and was accepted into Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society for his work towards his Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Liberty University, which he will complete in August 2018.

 

 

Angel Flores photoSpeaker 2: Angel Flores

 

Angel Flores is a Senior Public Information Specialist at the City of Austin Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, where he primarily works in public information and media communications during emergency response. He has about four years of experience in emergency management and nine years in bilingual marketing/graphic design/communications. Major events worked include the 2015 Memorial Day and Halloween floods, Hurricane Harvey, as well as several planned events like Formula One and SXSW. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism.  

 

 

 

Stephanie McClintock photoSpeaker 3: Stephanie McClintock

 

Stephanie McClintock is the Acting General Manager of the Combined Transportation, Emergency, and Communications Center (CTECC). She has been with the City of Austin for 19 years, where her primary focus has been in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS). As the Acting General Manager, she is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, as well as facilitating the governance of the facility with the CTECC partners. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Geography and from Texas State University with a Master’s of Applied Geography degree, both with emphasis in GIS.
