Executive Committee


Chad Williams - picChad Williams, MBA, Avison Young

Chad Williams’ career in real estate began with him first overseeing property management, construction management, and engineering operations as Assistant Vice President for Moore & Associates, for a total portfolio size of approximately 700,000 square feet. After moving to Cushman and Wakefield, he built and managed property operations and construction/project management for the Austin and San Antonio markets, and was responsible for approximately 3.5 million square feet of inventory. In his role at Avison Young, Chad will be responsible for building property and construction management service lines throughout the state of Texas. Mr. Williams’ experience includes business development, the complete repositioning and renovation of vacant assets, and the management of over $95 million of capital and tenant improvements.

Chad earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from St. Edward’s University. Chad served a total of sixteen years in the United States Air Force, gaining a broad range of experience including special tactics, resource protection, installation security, and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection and ultimately attaining the rank of Master Sergeant prior to his Honorable Discharge in 2006. He is a licensed real estate salesman in the state of Texas, a member of RECA, and sits on the board of directors for BOMA Austin. He is also involved with Breakthrough Austin, and hosts an annual golf tournament to raise funds to support their mission of providing a path to college for first-generation college graduates.

Vice President

Marc Krohn - picMarc Krohn, RPA,CPM, The RMR Group

Marc has worked in the commercial real estate industry for over 22 years. He is currently the Area Director for The RMR Group overseeing all real estate operations to include leasing, management, construction management, engineering, customer service acquisitions and dispositions for diverse portfolio of office, medical and industrial properties in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Prior to joining The RMG Group, Marc was the Managing Director for CBRE providing leadership and strategic direction for Asset Services in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky Austin, San Antonio and El Paso. He also worked for Duke Realty in Cincinnati and Zeller Realty in Minneapolis where he began his career in the commercial real estate industry.

Marc has been very active in IREM and BOMA over the years. He has chaired a number of committees, lobbied for reform at state capitals and served on the BOMA and IREM Board of Directors in Cincinnati and Minneapolis. Marc is the past recipient of the Future of BOMA award in Minneapolis and CPM of the Year in Cincinnati. Marc has been very involved in TOBY. He served on the International Awards Committed which was tasked with rewriting the criteria for the TOBY and Earth Awards. He is a past local, regional and international TOBY judge and while at Duke Realty, his team in Cincinnati won an International TOBY award in the Industrial category which was the first TOBY ever received in Cincinnati.

Marc is a graduate of Youngstown State University in Ohio. He received his Bachelor in Business Administration majoring in Finance and Economics. He holds the RPA and CPM designations and is a licensed Realtor in Texas and Ohio. He is midway through the completion in pursuing the CCIM designation.

When Marc is not working…he is working. But when he does have free time, he enjoys running, tennis and playing golf (albeit badly) but most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 12 year old son who plays soccer year around.

Jasmine Porter - picJasmine Porter, CPM, Newmark Knight Frank

Jasmine Porter is a senior property manager at Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) who brings over 12 years of professional experience in commercial real estate. She has been with NKF for two years and previously was with Reit Management & Research LLC (RMR) for 10 years. She has experience in managing office, medical, government, industrial and downtown high-rise in the CBD. Ms. Porter is skilled in ownership environments including managing directly-owned and third-party portfolios. She is an energetic, self-motivated individual focused on meeting the needs of the client while building tenant relationships.

Ms. Porter is responsible for managing 560k square feet of Class A office in Austin, TX and surrounding areas. She is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and managing construction projects including building improvements and tenant finish outs.

Kristin Chavarria - picKristin Chavarria, RPA, Peloton Commercial Real Estate

Kristin has been an active member in BOMA since 2007 and has 17 years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate Industry. Her current role as a Senior Property Manager with Peloton Commercial Real Estate began in 2016. Prior to joining Peloton, Kristin worked at Trammell Crow Company, CB Richard Ellis, Pyramid Properties and HPI Real Estate. Her portfolio consists of managing office, retail and industrial properties throughout Austin. She has the industry in her blood as a second generation professional in the industry. Kristin graduated from Concordia University at Austin, holds her Texas Real Estate License and holds the RPA (Real Property Administrator) designation from BOMI International. Kristin loves spending time with her husband and two children whenever possible.

Chris Covo - picChris Covo, PJS of Texas


Chris Covo began working with PJS of Texas in 2013 to manage the Special Services division, which offers services that complement in-suite janitorial cleaning. In effort to expand the services offered to PJS clients, Chris led the launch of a commercial pressure washing unit, high and low rise window cleaning operations, and an upholstery cleaning service. The exterior division is now known as Exterior Cleaning Solutions of Texas and serves a variety of properties across the city. In 2017, Chris was named the Vice President of Sales and Partnerships for PJS and now oversees all transactions for the firm. Chris grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas State University and his masters degree in legal and political theory from University College London. After receiving his MA, Chris moved back to Austin and worked as a fellow at the communication firm Hill & Knowlton Strategies, and later as the legislative director for a state representative during the 2012 Texas Legislative session. He currently serves on the BOMA board, the City of Austin Board of Adjustment, and is the current Chairman of the Austin Civic Fund – a local non-profit that invests in innovative groups and initiatives working to solve Austin’s most pressing community problems.

Katherine Englund - picKatherine Englund, RPA, FMA, Stream Realty Partners

I have been in property management since 1996 when I started as the receptionist for Mack-Cali at Cielo Center. Later, I was promoted to Assistant Property Manager for Lowe Enterprises helping to run Stonebridge Plaza One. In 2000, I became an active member of BOMA Austin volunteering for a variety of committees including Advocacy, Golf and the Extravaganza. I also served as a TOBY local, regional, and international judge, as well as a BOMA Board of Directors member from 2003-2007, and again 2010-2013. I have successfully received both my RPA and FMA designations through the BOMI classes. During my career, I have managed both downtown and suburban properties, as well as the suburban portfolio for Thomas Properties. Currently, I am the Vice President of Stream Realty’s Commercial Management and I run two office complexes consisting of approximately 430,000 sf.

Karisa Johnson - picKarisa Johnson, CPM, RPA

Karisa Johnson previously served as Vice President of Management Services with Transwestern and oversees a portfolio of approximately 2.5 million square feet of office, industrial and medical properties. Karisa’s staff includes 3 property managers, 4 administrative assistants and 10 engineers. Her primary roles include property takeover and management transition, client and tenant satisfaction, enhancing value and asset preservation for clients. She received her RPA designation from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) in 1999 and received her CPM® from the Institute of Real Estate Management. She is past BOMA Austin President, Texas BOMA President and BOMA Southwest Region President. She has served on the Programs Committee and regional TOBY Committee.

Amy Oclon - picAmy Oclon, CPM, HPI Real Estate Management

Amy Oclon began her career in the hospitality industry, working for luxury resorts, and specialized in guest satisfaction. She received a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Hospitality Management from San Francisco State University. Her career in Property Management began in Austin with the RMR Group where she worked as the Event & Tenant Coordinator at the Hill Country Galleria, a 150 acre mixed use retail, dining, office and lodging destination in the heart of the Texas hill country. She was then promoted to the corporate real estate division where she worked as a Tenant Coordinator assisting in the management of 1.7M RSF and oversaw all contract and Certificate of Insurance compliance.

Amy joined Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc. as an Assistant Property Manager in October of 2014. After only a few months on the team, she was promoted to Property Manager where she has managed a varied portfolio consisting of Class A Office, Office, Medical Office, Historical, Industrial, and Retail Centers in the Austin Area. Her willingness to take on challenges with a patient resourceful approach allows her to complete projects effectively while recognizing cost savings and efficiencies whenever possible. in 2018 Amy moved to HPI Real Estate Management as a Property Manager, overseeing a portfolio of properties.

In January of 2016 Amy established the newest BOMA Austin committee for Emerging Professionals and supported this committee as chair for two years. This involvement inspired her to join the 2018/2019 Board of Directors where she will support the Membership Committee as the Board Liaison. Through these responsibilities, she has seen growth in membership, and in involvement from our most important resources, our Emerging Professionals, as they are the future of the real estate industry. She is looking forward towards exciting growth for BOMA Austin in the next two years, and for years to come.

2019 - 2020 Directors


David Englund - picDavid Englund, Trellis Company

David Englund, SMT, is the Corporate Chief Engineer at Trellis Company (Previously Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation) in Round Rock. He has worked in the building maintenance field for 26 years, and as a chief engineer since 2001. Prior to Texas Guaranteed he was employed with Equity Office Properties, Thomas Properties and Claydesta Corporation.

David has been a BOMA member since 2011, and was invited by past president Heather Haney to serve on the Board of Directors in 2012, and afterwards served four more years, two terms, on the Board of Directors. Served as the Board Liaison for the Sustainability Committee, co-chair for the Education & Programs Committee, during his time on the Board of Directors, and a volunteer with the Golf Committee prior to that. Obtained a world of knowledge with all aspects of BOMA, while serving on the Board of Directors, along with the ability to participate in the present and future success of BOMA Austin. David also served on the AAFAME board as Training Chair, Treasurer and Secretary earlier in his career. Currently he serves on the AAFAME Career Outreach Program Committee.

David is a veteran, and has traveled the world extensively, serving honorably a combined 14 years with U.S. Navy and California Air National Guard as an Aerospace Maintenance Journeyman.

Tiffany Jensen - picTiffany Jensen, Peloton Commercial Real Estate

Tiffany is responsible for an office portfolio of 485,000sf. Daily responsibilities include customer service, maintaining accounts receivable, coordinating with tenants/vendors to address building issues, routine property inspections, client reporting, and budgeting. She trains recently promoted property managers on budget process, setting up budget template, CAM Reconciliations and responsibilities of managing an asset.

Chris Toliver - picChris Toliver, ACT Security Group

Chris Toliver has over 28 years of experience in the private security industry. After receiving a degree in Criminal Justice he started his career with Barton Protective Services in a downtown Dallas parking garage. From there he moved on to supervise all shifts of a high-rise complex and quickly became the Director of Security for two 1.6 + million square foot office buildings. Chris also served as the President for the Dallas Downtown Security Directors Association during this time.

After three years as an Operations Manager with oversight of all downtown properties and several large telecom corporate campuses, Chris moved to Houston to take a Branch Manager position. As Vice President of South Texas, Chris was responsible for all branch operations including new business development and training for petrochemical and industrial sites.

Chris moved to the Austin area in 1999 to start up the newest branch office for Barton where he was tasked with developing the quickly expanding high-tech market. After Baron Protective Services merged with Allied, Chris left to join Executive Security. In 2005 he took on the role of General Manager within Executive Security and was responsible for the overall operations and expansion of the Austin, Houston, College Station and San Antonio markets. He is currently a Principal LLC Member with ACT Security Group.

Chris orchestrated the founding of the Central Texas Law Enforcement and Private Security organization and has been an active member of Associated Security Services and Investigators of Texas. Chris has and is currently serving on the board of directors for BOMA Austin as well as six terms as the Committee Chair for Emergency Preparedness. Chris has created annual seminars for all BOMA members and an award for the most prepared building in Austin. He was also an active participant on the BOMA International Preparedness Committee where he has given an overview at the annual International meeting. He also worked with BOMA, The Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and Austin Police/Fire Departments on creating an Emergency Access Procedure for business and property owners.

Vanessa Vercher - picVanessa Vercher, AQUILA

One look at Vanessa’s desk and it becomes clear: organization and efficiency are her calling card. This comes in handy as she juggles property management responsibilities for over a dozen properties.

Vanessa assists with management functions across a diverse portfolio of office and retail properties. Her duties include tenant relations, work order management, vendor relations, service contracts, budgeting and financial reporting.

Before joining AQUILA, Vanessa served as a legal assistant for eight years. Vanessa has also previously worked as a court clerk.

Vanessa is a sports junkie; she loves to watch football and basketball games. She’s a die-hard Spurs fan and watches every single regular season and playoff game.
