Nominate an Outstanding Member for Recognition
Members who are involved in the programs and services of BOMA Austin provide a substantial and positive impact on the association. With this in mind, the BOMA Austin Awards Committee developed an Awards program to honor those members who have contributed to our association and their profession. The awards recognize creativity, innovation and communication and the role these key attributes play in the success of organization and the real estate industry.
Below are the Award Categories with details. Individuals may nominate themselves, a co-worker, vendor, or anyone who is a member in good standing with BOMA Austin.

This award honors a property or facility manager who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the association throughout the year.
Criteria Considerations:
- Principal member who manages commercial, retail, industrial, flex medical, or any combination thereof, of space in the Austin market.
- Supports BOMA Austin with event attendance and/or event volunteering.
- Participates on a BOMA Committee(s) as a member, Chair or Co-Chair and provides value and support at meetings.
- Participates in BOMA Continuing Education, Designation Classes and/or Lunch & Learns.

This award honors an assistant property or facility manager who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the association throughout the year.
Criteria Considerations:
- Principal member who assists in management of commercial, retail, industrial, flex medical, or any combination thereof, in the Austin market.
- Supports BOMA Austin with event attendance and/or event volunteering.
- Participates on a BOMA Committee(s) as a member, Chair or Co-Chair and provides value and support at meetings.
- Participates in BOMA Continuing Education, Designation Classes and/or Lunch & Learns.

This award honors an engineer who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the association throughout the year. A letter of support from the nominee’s direct supervisor is required.
Criteria Considerations:
- Principal member who engineers commercial, retail, industrial, flex medical, or any combination thereof, of space in the Austin market.
- Supports BOMA Austin with event attendance and/or event volunteering.
- Participates on a BOMA Committee(s) as a member, Chair or Co-Chair and provides value and support at meetings.
- Participates in BOMA Continuing Education, Designation Classes and/or Lunch & Learns.

This award may be presented to an individual in any membership category who has been active in BOMA Austin for three (3) years or less and currently serves as an active member of the Emerging Professionals Committee. It recognizes and encourages those who are in the early stages of their careers and demonstrate exceptional promise and engagement within the association. A letter of support from the nominee’s direct supervisor is required.
Criteria Considerations:
- Supports the association with event attendance and/or volunteering.
- Participates on a BOMA Committee(s) as a member, Chair or Co-Chair and provides value and support at meetings.
- Participates in BOMA Continuing Education, Designation Classes and/or Lunch & Learns.

This award may be presented to any allied member in recognition of outstanding achievements or significant contributions to the association.

- Promotes BOMA Austin by sponsoring functions and/or memberships.
- Participates on a BOMA Committee(s) as a member, Chair or Co-Chair and provides value and support at meetings.

This award recognizes a BOMA Austin committee chair who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, professionalism, and dedication to their committee and the association throughout the year.
Criteria Considerations:
- Supports the association with event attendance and/or volunteering.
- Successfully met or exceeded their committee’s goals.
- Excelled as committee chair by leading with integrity, professionalism, and collaboration. Inspired the committee and BOMA membership while maintaining effective communication and accountability with the Board and BAE.

This award is given at the discretion of the BOMA President to a deserving BOMA Austin member or staff member who has served beyond the call of duty.

Specific Nomination Information: The president can select whomever he/she wants.
This award is in remembrance of Jack Drummond and Karisa Johnson, who both left an indelible mark on BOMA Austin through their steadfast commitment and care. Their work has contributed to a flourishing commercial real estate market and a culture of BOMA members serving our clients and the community well.
The Drummond-Johnson Award honors years of service through demonstrated advocacy at both city hall and in the boardroom with remarkable character and dedication.
Representing one’s tireless efforts in service to BOMA Austin, this lifetime achievement award is given to an Austin member or staff member who has been active for a minimum of 15 years.
