BOMA PAC
The BOMA Austin Political Action Committee enables the BOMA advocacy team to raise money to elect local political candidates into office who understand and support policies that affect the commercial real estate community and to execute education campaigns that advocate for our issues in a meaningful way.
Our Key Issues
BOMA Austin advocates for the City of Austin to appropriately allocate funding to provide customers with timely permitting, development reviews and increased staffing to execute their duties effectively.
BOMA Austin engages on behalf of our members when issues arise that result in energy rate increases to commercial properties.
BOMA Austin cares about the responsible use of funds to support the city's Police, Fire, and EMS departments. In addition to supporting first responders, we advocate for thoughtful policies that work to shelter our unhoused neighbors and preserve community safety.
BOMA Austin engages with local policymakers to establish rules and regulations that promote property rights, bolster a diversity of housing supply, and equip our market to handle the dynamic and growing commercial real estate environment demands.
BOMA Austin advocates for fair and responsible tax policy and fee schedules in commercial real estate in Austin and the surrounding areas.
